3-Aminopropylmethyldimethoxysilane is an organosilane coupling agent that consists of a silane group (-Si(OCH₃)₂CH₃) attached to a propylamine (-CH₂CH₂CH₂NH₂) functional group.
Aminopropyl group (-CH₂CH₂CH₂NH₂): Provides primary amine functionality, making it reactive towards various substrates.
Methyldimethoxysilane group (-Si(OCH₃)₂CH₃): This group is hydrolysable, allowing it to bond strongly to inorganic surfaces.
